Digital Signature Acceptance Policy

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to provide guidance on when digital signatures can be used to validate the identity of a signer of electronic documents and correspondence.

Scope

This policy applies to all Opus Works Group employees, contractors, and other agents conducting Opus Works Group business.

This policy applies only to digitally signed documents and correspondence within Opus Works and not to electronic materials sent to or received from non-Opus Works Group affiliated persons or organisations.

Digital signatures are not accepted as a means of validating the identity of a signer of electronic documents and correspondence.

Policy Compliance

Compliance Measurement

The ISMS Committee will verify compliance to this policy through various methods, including but not limited to, business tool reports, internal and external audits, and feedback to the policy owner.

Exceptions

Any exception to the policy must be approved by the ISMS Committee in advance.

Non-Compliance

An employee found to have violated this policy may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
